E.L.S. Products offers a both shock absorbing lanyards for fall arrest and non-shock absorbing lanyards for positioning/restraint.
All lanyards are equipped with locking snap hooks to help prevent accidental "roll-out". They are ergonomically designed for easy operation even while wearing gloves. These shock absorbing lanyards keep forces well below ANSI's 900 lb. maximum force requirement and feature a warning tab which is revealed when the lanyard is subjected to the impact forces of a fall. Lanyards are available in many lengths, (max. 6 ft) and several different materials to meet any fall arrest or work positioning/restraint need.
In a fall, the lanyard's shock component lengthens up to 3.5 feet (max) as its specially stitched inner webbing unfolds to greatly reduce the fall force, revealing warning label. If your lifeline or lanyard is beginning to look like this, REPLACE IT IMMEDIATELY.
